Thomas Claburn serves as Editor-at-Large at InformationWeek. He has been covering technology since 1996, having worked previously at New Architect, Wired and Ziff Davis Smart Business. His writing has also appeared in Salon.

Prior to working in the publishing industry, Claburn worked in film and television at KQED-TV in San Francisco and as an independent filmmaker. He wrote the design script for 3DO's Killing Time and a science-fantasy novel called Reflecting Fires. Back during the dot-com boom, he did some freelance naming and identity work for Landor Associates and Addison.
